Brayden Guy Bio

Brayden Guy is a Canadian former professional hockey player, born March 3, 2001, in Brampton, Ontario. He was drafted by the Sarnia Sting in the 3rd round (45th overall) of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection. Guy spent much of his junior career with the Sting, serving as team captain during his tenure there. From 2017-2022, he played 182 games for Sarnia, recording 49 goals and 42 assists for 91 points. In January 2022, he was traded to the Guelph Storm, where he finished his OHL career strong in 2021-22 (combined OHL: 57 GP, 25 G, 16 A, 41 Pts). Overall OHL career: 218 GP, 68 G, 53 A, 121 Pts.

He attended NHL development camps with the Columbus Blue Jackets (2019) and St. Louis Blues (2021, 2022).

After juniors, Guy turned pro, playing in the ECHL and briefly in the AHL:

  • 2022-23: Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL) - 55 GP, 14 G, 15 A, 29 Pts.
  • 2023-24: Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL, partial), Reading Royals (ECHL), Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) - limited AHL: 2 GP, 0 Pts; ECHL combined: 40 GP, 6 G, 5 A, 11 Pts.
  • 2024-25: Allen Americans (ECHL) - 52 GP, 11 G, 6 A, 17 Pts; traded to Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) on February 24/25, 2025 - 16 GP, 1 G, 1 A, 2 Pts.

ECHL career totals: 163 GP, 32 G, 27 A, 59 Pts. He also had a brief stint in the AlpsHL with Steel Wings Linz in 2020-21 (15 GP, 1 G, 3 A, 4 Pts) during the COVID-disrupted season.

Guy retired from professional hockey on July 31, 2025, after his time with the Cincinnati Cyclones. On August 1, 2025, the Sarnia Sting announced his hiring as an assistant coach for the 2025-26 OHL season. The team highlighted his leadership, work ethic, and familiarity with the organization.
