Kyle Brothers began his hockey career in junior leagues in Ontario. Starting with the Lambton Shores Predators in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) then played college hockey at Adrian College (NCAA Division III, Northern Collegiate Hockey Association) from 2014-15 to 2017-18, totaling 110 games with 52 goals and 99 assists for 151 points.

Key highlights from college:

  • 2014-15 (Freshman): Led NCAA DIII with 49 points (24 G, 25 A in 30 GP); USCHO.com Rookie of the Year, All-America First Team; NCHA Freshman of the Year, All-NCHA First Team; CCM/AHCA All-America First Team West; Harris Cup MVP; set Adrian single-season record with 8 game-winning goals (top in DIII, third overall NCAA); +29 rating; minimal penalties.
  • 2015-16: 9 G, 23 A, 32 Pts in 26 GP.
  • 2016-17: 8 G, 28 A, 36 Pts in 26 GP.
  • 2017-18 (Senior): 11 G, 23 A, 34 Pts in 28 GP.
  • All-time at Adrian: Tied for high ranks in game-winning goals and goals.

After college, he turned pro. He signed with HYC Herentals in the BeNe League (Belgium's top league) for the 2018-19 season, making his professional debut there.

He later played in Germany's Oberliga (GerObL), a semi-pro/lower pro tier:

  • 2020-21: Diez-Limburg EG (24 GP, 15 G, 26 A, 41 Pts).
  • 2021-22: Diez-Limburg EG (29 GP, 20 G, 40 A, 60 Pts) and Hamm Polar Bears (23 GP, 15 G, 27 A, 42 Pts).
  • 2022-23: Hamm Polar Bears (53 GP, 20 G, 49 A, 69 Pts).

Most recently (as of 2025-26), he plays for Adendorfer EC in Germany's Regionalliga Nord, remaining active with strong recent offensive contributions.
